Sail over traffic like a boss

Uber is offering a unique kind of ride this weekend that even Dona Santibañez would be proud of – the company will be offering chopper rides (the helicopter kind) for lucky Uber users on November 21. The company has partnered with Airtrav in the Philippines for UberCHOPPER, available to Uber users for a limited time, from 8 am to 10 am during the weekend.

Obviously even a helicopter can’t just land wherever you are when you book the ride, so Uber’s sending an UberBLACK to take you and two of your friends to a helipad that’s nearest you, and you’ll be able to enjoy a short, 10-minute ride around in Airtrav’s helicopter.

Riding around Manila in a helicopter is a fantastic treat considering the hellish week of traffic that we’ve encountered thanks to road closures for APEC, so a lot of people will be vying to fly in the chopper. Demand will be sky-high, so be patient.
