Money transfers now made more convenient

PayMaya expands its network of partnerships with money transfer service Western Union. The alliance involves recipients of money transferred via Western Union to receive it via their Paymaya accounts. This partnership is significant as it makes both local and foreign money transfers easy and hassle-free.

“All they need to receive their Western Union money transfer via PayMaya is their mobile phones: it’s convenient, quick and easy and allows them to save time and money for other more important things,” PayMaya Philippines President and CEO Orlando B. Vea said.

Here’s how it works:

1. When at an agent location, specify that you want to send a mobile money transfer.
2. Provide your receiver’s name, the amount you wish to send and the receiver’s phone number or MSISDN.
3. Western Union will notify PayMaya about the money transfer, and PayMaya will validate the data and deposit the sent amount to the receiver’s mobile wallet.
4. PayMaya will notify you via SMS when your receiver gets the funds.
