Waterproof Chucks FTW!

When it comes to sneakers, this brand always comes to mind – Chucks. It has been around for almost 100 years and is still considered fashionable to this day. There are those who refuse to wear anything else because Chucks are comfortable and can be worn with just about anything. Perhaps the only time that Converse sneaker-philes opt for another footwear is when it is raining because canvas isn’t exactly waterproof … until now.

Waterproof Chucks is the latest in the brand’s Converse Counter Climate Boots Collection. While it was initially made to keep the feet dry during snowy winter months, it is safe to say that we can use it too in the Philippines considering that the weather is unpredictable and we never really know when it will rain. Nobody wants to get their canvas Chucks wet. Well, this latest release by Converse uses water repellent canvas, mesh-backed waterproof leather, neoprene sleeves and rubber to make sure that your feet stays clean and dry even when you accidentally step on puddles.

With this latest collection by the known sneaker brand, you can wear Chucks, all day, any day.

Until now, canvas is still not waterproof. They are using another material for the Chucks to be waterproof. They are not using CANVAS.

  2. As far as i can remember, during the 70’s and early 80’s, you can see sidewalk vendors selling converse shoes hanging in every street at quiapo and these are original. Hindi sya pinapansin noon ng mga tao. Adidas ang sikat noon. My mother bought me this 2x when i was in h/s para sa PE subject. Mura lang kasi. I remember 1 action star wearing this in his films. Roberto Gonzales.

Ngaun, iba na ang status. Iba na ang converse. Classy na.
