The phone is listed as having a cheaper price overseas
We wrote about InFocus and their trio of smartphones that they’ve introduced here in the Philippines before. The flagship smartphone, the M810, has rather decent specs and an overall very nice metal and glass construction, befitting of a flagship device.
InFocus M810 specs
- 2.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor
- 2GB of RAM
- 5.5-inch full HD IPS OGS display 1920 x 1080 resolution
- 16GB of storage expandable via microSD card
- 13-megapixel rear camera
- 5-megapixel front camera
- 4G, LTE (Single Sim)
- WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC
- 2600mAh non-removable battery
- Android 4.4 KitKat
- Php 26,990
We were a bit dismayed though at the price – the store where tech outfit Hungry Geeks saw the phone was pricing it at a whopping Php 26,990 , which puts it in the price range of newer flagship phones of other international brands.
That’s surprising, considering that the M810 is pegged to cost just NT 9,988 or Php 14560 when it was launched in Taiwan. One possible explanation of the price bloat would be the bundled Harman/Kardon Onyx speaker. While the bundle is a pretty good deal (the Onyx speaker retails at more than 20K in other stores) we think that it might be a good idea for whoever is selling InFocus phones here in the PH to give consumers an option of buying the phone without the speakers bundled in.
