CD-R King Sold ALL Of Their Malibu Segway-like E-bikes

Malibu-2

At 68K a pop!

A few months ago we told you about CD-R King’s funky Malibu e-bike, essentially a Segway for the masses, that cost around 68K each. Well during our chat with Daryle Ganchua, CD-R King’s regional manager, he revealed that they’ve managed to completely sell out ALL of the Malibu bikes they brought to the PH. ALL of them, not a single one left, save for two units (one is their review unit that we’re trying to get a hold of and another is a marketing unit).

Even more surprising, Daryle said that the Malibu bikes weren’t bought by companies or security agencies – they were bought by individuals who wanted a new toy to play with at home. Even if the Malibu bikes are more affordable than true Segways, they’re still expensive – at 68K each, they’re one hell of a toy to play with.

  1. There’s also a similiar product sold in cebu for half the price, called FuBoard, it’s like a segway without the handle.
