Boy racers, listen up: Honda Philippines has announced that they’ll officially be selling their hot as hell Civic Type R in the Philippines this July. You heard that right – the iconic red H badge will soon be seen cruising around the metro. With a 2.0 liter VTEC turbo engine putting out 306hp (at 6,500 rpm) paired with a 6-speed manual transmission with rev matching, the Honda Type R is going to be a hot collectible once it hits the Philippines.
And make no mistake, it is a collectible, since Honda Philippines will only be dropping a total of 100 units total in the country, in only two colors: Championship White and Rallye Red.
It’s pretty easy to spot the limited-edition car on our roads: it’ll have a distinctly different aerodynamic package compared to the more pedestrian versions of the new Civic, Vortex generators as well as full LED headlights and an aluminum hood with a scoop intake. 20-inch Berlina black alloy wheels as well as 245/30 R20 tires deliver the power generated by its engine to the asphalt.
The Type R will also get bucket seats, a serial number place along with a titanium shift knob.
It’s not going to be cheap though – you’ll have to spend Php 2,980,000 for this awesome car to be yours.
