Lamborghini Sesto Elemento

WOWZA.

Frankfurt Motorshow 2011 Dispatch: The Lamborghini Sesto Elemento

I know that most of you were pretty much impressed with the newly announced Lamborghini Gallardo. If that’s not enough to make you piss your pants then maybe this will do the trick. Meet the Lamborghini Sesto Elemento. It’s a fighter jet turned into a car and it reeks of awesomeness, epicness, and breaks the this-thing-is-cool meter.

WOW again. o_o;;

This was actually shown already during the Paris Motor Show. What makes it special this time around is the announcement that it will go already into production. There will only be 20 units produced in the world and they will be delivered sometime in 2013. When I read the part about the availability I was puzzled. It will take them 2 years to make 20 cars? This means that they will spend tons of time so that every little detail on these babies are perfect.

I'm still wowing.

What makes the Lamborghini Sesto Elemento special? First it weighs less than 1000 kg. This is something that’s never been done before save for the Lamborghini Countach Evoluzione prototype in 1986. The drive train is from motorsport with an output of 570 hp, a highly responsive V10 engine, and the awesome stability/handling that Lamborghini is known for because of their four wheel drive system. What does all this mean? It means that the Sesto Elemento can hit 100 km/h in just 2.5 seconds. Can I get a ZOMGWTHBBQ?

Here are more photos for everybody to drool on (including me):

I don’t know about you but I’m still drooling.
