Nissan Launches New Terra Mid-Size SUV

A descendant of the well-loved Nissan Patrol

Right before the 1st half of 2018 ends, Nissan officially unveiled its latest SUV with the mid-sized Terra in a regional launch held at Clark Global City attended by media from Thailand and the Philippines.

The first mid-sized SUV from Nissan, the Terra is modeled after the Nissan Patrol. It sports a ladder frame chassis, a five-link coil spring rear suspension, and a rigid rear wheel axle. 4×4 variants come with a 4WD-Diff lock system paired with Hill Descent Control and Hill Start Assist.

The Terra comes with a few bells and whistles, which include Lane Departure Warning, Blind Spot Warning, and a Smart Rear View Mirror—a unique feature where the driver can see the back through a rear camera.

The Terra’s key look is the V-motion grille paired with “boomerang” LED headlamps.

Powering the Terra is Nissan’s YD25DDTi high-power Diesel engine that boasts of 190 horsepower at 3600 RPM and 450Nm of torque at 2000 RPM. As for the interior, the Terra seats seven and comes with a one-touch remote fold for the second row.
