Bigger, badder, better
Suzuki Philippines has officially unveiled the 2019 refresh of their well known MPV, the Ertiga last night, and boy has it changed. The 2019 refresh is just the second generation of the young MPV, but Suzuki has changed quite a bit to compete with the offerings of their Japanese rivals.
The 2019 Ertiga is barely recognizable, thanks to the new fascia, brand new headlamp shape and a redesigned grille that looks way more muscular and handsome than the last generation. The new model is bigger too, both in length and height.
There’s space to seat 7 people in the 2019 Ertiga, and the rear seats can be folded up to provide more space if needed. There are an additional 40 liters of luggage space compared to the last generation Ertiga.
Suzuki has put in a new 1.5-liter DOHC VVT engine to handle the MPV’s new stature, producing 103hp at 6000rpm, along with 138Nm of torque at 4,400rpm. The 2019 Ertiga can be had with either a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic.
The car comes with 15-inch alloy wheels as standard, and every variant aside from the entry-level GA one gets fog lamps, rear LED taillights and electric folding side mirrors.
The GL variant gets an 8-inch touchscreen entertainment system, while the GLX variant gets a bigger 10-inch screen.
The 2019 Ertiga is available in 7 colors: Cool Black Pearl Metallic, Burgundy Red Pearl, Silky Silver Metallic, Radiant Red Pearl, Snow White Pearl, Magma Grey Metallic and Glorious Brown Pearl.
