What kind of specs will we expect when Android One hits the PH?

After Google announced that Android One would be coming to the PH, people are obviously interested to see what kind of specs that these new devices would bring, and more importantly, how these devices would stack up agains the products that are already in the PH. In that regard, we took a look at one of the devices that was unveiled in India, the Karbonn Android One Sparkle V Blue and pit it agains the Cherry Mobile Flare 3 in terms of specs.

On paper, it seems like Cherry Mobile’s Flare 3 is the better smartphone, possessing a bigger display with better resolution, higher megapixel cameras and higher battery.

Of course, hardware tells only a part of the story. the entire point of Android One is that the hardware has been certified by Google themselves, as well additional software features and localizations, including the ability to download YouTube videos to watch later without incurring data charges. We’re also hoping that whoever Google partners up with here in the PH will offer better specs for the price, especially considering how cuthroat the competition is here, especially for the lower end market where Android One is going to play in.
