The event started with the host, Bianca Valerio, warming up the crowd with some jokes and pleasantries. She then introduced Hastings Singh who gave a quick presentation about RIM and BlackBerry. He emphasized in his presentation that RIM knows how big the market is in the Philippines and that the new line-up of BlackBerry smartphones will be able to address the needs of the Filipino smartphone user. He then introduced Ray Gillenwater, RIM Country Manager for the Philippines.
