Can the iPhone X Survive this Brutal Durabilty Test?

Can the iPhone X Survive this Brutal Durabilty Test?

You have to be careful with the glass back though

It did not take that long for Youtuber Jerryrigeverything to do a durability test on the iPhone X. On his test, he notes that the glass used for both the front and back can sustain scratches up to 6 mohs—making the iPhone X at par with the glass panels used on the LG V30 and Google Pixel 2.

As for the rear, Jerryrigeverything notes that there’s a plastic inlet between the stainless steel frame and the glass panel, which serves as protection for accidental drops. However, he notes that the iPhone X’s rear glass panel can crack if dropped as low as three feet.

As for the use of stainless steel, he explains that aside from the frame, stainless steel is also used for the speaker and microphone mesh grilles, and for the buttons around the phone. As for the bend test finale, the iPhone X does flex but does not cause any damage unlike with what happened to the Pixel 2.
