Check out Cherry Mobile’s Tegra Note 7 tablet!

Earlier today we attended Cherry Mobile’s official launch of the Tegra Note 7 gaming tablet in the PH. The Tegra Note 7 is a gaming tablet that was designed by NVIDIA and sold here by their partner Cherry Mobile. NVIDIA actually partnered with other brands when they sold the device in other countries, like EVGA in the US.

Cherry Mobile’s Tegra Note 7 is identical to the one sold by EVGA in the US internally. Externally though, there are some differences. The rubberized back is now gone, replaced by a more professional looking matte back. NVIDIA says that this is the second generation of the tablets, now built by Foxconn, the same company that makes iPhones for Apple.

Obviously the Cherry Mobile Tegra Note 7 is made for gaming, and it was able to handle most of the games that were pre-installed in the tablet during the event. We’ve seen photos of the original Tegra Note 7, and to be honest we prefer this version more, as it actually looks like a premium tablet. NVIDIA says that they will also be selling an LTE enabled-model (at a higher price obviously) around August soonest. The Cherry Mobile Tegra Note 7 also has a stylus, and while comparisons to Samsung’s Galaxy Note series will be unavoidable, the two use different technologies. Specifically, Samsung’s tech uses a Wacom digitizer which is obviously a more expensive solution, while NVIDIA uses their DirectStylus technology, which makes you feel like you’re using an active stylus, though in reality you’re just using a passive one, keeping costs down.

Expect to shell out Php 9,999 for this tablet.
