Here’s what we know about LG’s V30

Samsung and Apple are in for Serious Competition.

Just as we are busy waiting for the final details on Samsung’s Galaxy Note 8 and Apple’s iPhone 8,  LG sure does not want to get left behind. Reliable smartphone rumor source OnLeaks shared a few snippets from the user manual of the upcoming LG V30, revealing its final design:

The leaked images reveal the similarities of the V30 to the G6, with the former being a larger version of the latter. Aside from that, the V30 stands out for having a f/1.6 aperture camera, making its aperture slightly larger than the ones found on the cameras of the Samsung Galaxy S8 and HTC U11. How big of a difference can .1 make, aside from being better in low light conditions? That’s what we want to see once the V30 is unveiled to the public on August 31 at Berlin, and a September 28 global launch.

The V30 is expected to have a Snapdragon 835 CPU and 4GB RAM, in addition to a 6-inch QHD FullVision 2:1 OLED display, a “floating bar” above the main screen used for accessing notifications and shortcuts, and Android 7.1.2.
