Excellent speaker for the money!

Today we’re reviewing another great iPhone 5/5c/5s accessory, this time it’s from company NudeAudio. The Studio 5 is a nice looking wireless Bluetooth speaker that can also be used as a dock for iPhone 5/5s/5c. It’s an exquisitely designed speaker that has great sound quality and is equally at home at your bedroom or living room.

The overall design of the NudeAudio Studio 5 is a departure from your typical sound dock. The Studio 5 has an asymmetrical design, with almost the entire base of the speaker covered with grey cloth. The dock for the iPhone is offset to the right, at the top of the speaker, and has a clear plastic back to support the iPhone.

The audio controls are located just below the actual dock. On the back of the speaker lies the bass port, three position bass adjustment knob, an aux-in port and the plug for the power supply. Aside from the dock, you can also pair your iPhone (or any device that has Bluetooth capability) using the Bluetooth functionality of the speaker, that can be turned on using the button near the edge of the speaker.

Like most docks, plugging in your iPhone will charge it and stream your music, though you can also pair other devices to the Studio 5 using its Bluetooth functionality. Unlike most docks, the Studio 5 doesn’t look naked if you’re using something else than an iPhone 5, as the translucent plastic back that supports the iPhone looks at home with or without an iPhone.

Speaking of docking, you won’t be able to dock your iPhone 5/5c/5s if it’s wearing a case around it.

The Studio 5 has three-inch subwoofers and two drivers that deliver great sound, offering clear mids and highs. Because of the size of the subwoofer, the Studio 5 delivers significant bass performance. The Studio 5 is also capable of producing a lot of sound, pumping out significant volume – enough to fill a small room without distortion.

Priced at Php 8990, the Studio 5 isn’t cheap, but the price is more than worth it if you want an iPhone dock that look and sound good. Its Bluetooth functionality adds to its versatility, as it allows other devices aside from iPhones to use the speaker.

The Studio 5 is available at Beyond the Box stores.
