What can Xiaomi be up to?
Xiaomi has sent out invites to tech outfits for their December 9 event, with a tagline “Up In The Wind Together” printed on the invitation, accompanied by a photo of a windmill. As diverse as the company is, we’re pretty sure that they haven’t gotten into manufacturing windmills as of yet, so we’re not sure what the company is releasing in the next few days.
The most obvious culprit is that low-cost tablet that we’ve seen floating around in Geek Bench, which some have pegged to be priced at around $100. Regardless of what the company is launching, it’s a fair bet that it’s going to take its sweet time getting here, but we’ll be monitoring the wires to see what the company releases come December 9.
