Prices start at Php 50K

Want to get the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus ahead of everyone else for maximum bragging rights in social media? Well, you’ll be able to do so via Widget City, but just like any Apple device that the online retailer gets ahead of its official release, it’s going to cost you, a lot. Widget City has posted their prices for the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus, and unless you’re Mr. Moneybags, you’re not going to like it.

Widget City’s iPhone 8 will start at Php 50K for the 64GB version while the roomier 256GB variant is pegged at Php 60,000. The iPhone 8 Plus meanwhile, starts at Php 60,000 for the base 64GB version, and goes up to Php 70K for the 256GB version.

Those prices are significantly higher than the $699 (Php 35.6K) starting price of the iPhone 8 and $799 (Php 40.7K) price for the iPhone 8 Plus. It’s worth noting that almost all online sellers put a very high premium on the first batch of whatever new iPhone that gets announced, though at those prices you’d be better off waiting for the official release.
