Pinoys just love chatting with other folks in chatrooms. People old enough to remember Yahoo group chats and MIRC can attest to this. Babble relives those days by allowing users to join chatrooms using nicknames of their much like the chatrooms of old. Currently there are several chatrooms available made for different interests,  and users will be able to make their own rooms in the future. ASL anyone?

Aside from chatrooms, Babble also has a group chat feature, allowing you to chat with several of your friends at the same time. You’ll also be able to send emoticons and stickers much like other messaging services. Another nice feature is the ability to send secret messages and photos – which have a ten second display time before disappearing from the screen.

The messaging app is still in its infancy, and developer Voyager still has a lot of features it wants to implement in newer versions of the app. Future plans include an incentive scheme for  graphic artists to make localized stickers, better control over privacy, the ability to make chatrooms and advanced moderation tools.
