One More Bag To Last Us At Least 100 Years

Those who follow our reviews and features on bags know that we’re fans of the products of Saddleback Leather Co., a Texas based handcrafted high quality leather workshop. We’ve been using their bi-fold wallet and thin briefcase for well over a year now and we’re happy with both products as they’re durable, stylish, and uh… “manly”, lol!

Since we were very satisfied we went ahead and ordered one more bag to add to our growing collection. A few weeks ago that order finally arrived — the Saddleback Leather Messenger Bag!

Only High Quality Leather and Materials

The Saddleback Leather Messenger Bag, just like our other Saddleback Leather stuff, is made from 100% thick full grain boot leather. This is one of the toughest and best kinds of leather available today. They also used industrial marine grade thread, hidden polyester reinforcing straps, and rivets at all stress points to make sure that it can survive whatever kind of beating you throw at it. Lastly, it also has no breakable parts like zippers, snaps, and buttons. Because of all of these factors combined, Saddleback Leather is so confident of the durability that they have a 100-year warranty.

In short the bag can last you your lifetime and you can even pass it on to your kid when you depart from this world, hehe.

The bag has three major compartments. Inside you have a leather divider which gives you two spaces for your stuff. You can put in a 15-inch laptop there, an iPad, and a bunch of other things. On the outside at the back there’s an easy access slip pocket for your smartphones and wallet.

If you don’t want to carry it as a messenger bag, you can actually convert it to a backpack. Just remove the strap and let them pass through the O ring at the top near the handle and connect them at the opposite D rings at the bottom. It’s instantly a backpack!

As with our other Saddleback Leather products, we’re very happy with this Messenger Bag! Now to save for another one. Maybe for next year, hehe. Why so long? Because these bags cost quite a lot. This particular model sells for $382 on their website. With taxes and shipping charges it can reach well over Php17,000-Php18,000. Definitely not for the faint of heart.
