Acer Launches the Intel Optane Powered Nitro 5

Best of Both Worlds

It seems like Acer isn’t done making waves this year. They had a pretty interesting slew of products that showed at IFA 2018, which included a really powerful desktop rig to pushing the boundaries of the ultimate setup with the Acer Predator Thronos, and outed a version of their Nitro 5 that doesn’t leave a huge hole in your pockets.

Well, it seems like they had more plans for their Nitro line because they just launched a new variant of their budget gaming laptop.

It looks pretty much the same as the first time we’ve handled the notebook with its internals sporting an 8th generation Intel Core i5 or i7 processor, up to 8GB of RAM, and a GTX 1050Ti in tow. The biggest difference, however, is that it now comes with Intel Optane Memory that makes regular HDDs perform just like an SSD; giving you the best of both worlds when it comes to speed and storage capacity.

The Acer Nitro 5 will comes in two variants, which are priced at Php 59,999 and Php 69,990.
