The Idol 4S is quite thin, sporting a 6.9mm overall thickness and has curves on the back that’s similar to the Galaxy S7 lineup.

  • 3GB of RAM
  • 5.5-inch QHD AMOLED display
  • 32GB of expandable storage
  • 16-megapixel rear camera with F/2.0 aperture, PDAF, dual LED flash
  • 8-megapixel rear camera

Alcatel is quite proud of the customizable physical key on the side of the IDOL 4S dubbed the Boom Key. The key’s function changes depends on entirely on how you use and pick up the phone. Pressing on the Boom Key twice while your phone is off, for example, will turn on the camera function of the device. You can also hold and press the key when the phone is off to capture a burst of photos.

What’s cool about the IDOL 4S is that the retail packaging that it comes in transforms into a VR headset. That means you don’t have to buy a stand-alone VR headset if you want to play with VR.

No official SRP has been given for the IDOL 4S, but Alcatel is estimating that the phone will be under 30K.
