Nokia Lumia 920 Levels Up!
The Amber update for the Nokia Lumia 920 was released for the Philippines a few days ago. Amber brings several improvements to the Lumia 920 but the major ones really have to do with the camera! Along with Amber comes two new very nice apps — the Nokia Pro Cam and the Nokia Smart Cam. Both apps take your mobile photography to the next level both on the professional and on the fun aspects of taking pictures. We downloaded the update and took the apps for a spin so we can share with you guys some sample shots of the upgrades!
Nokia Pro Cam
The Nokia Pro Cam basically puts all the controls that you usually find in professional cameras on the main UI of the camera app. This includes ISO, Aperture, Focus, and White Balance. It’s a pretty nifty app especially if you’re the type that loves tinkering around with the controls to get the perfect shot that you want. The UI of the Pro Cam is intuitive but it would be nice if you read up on what the controls do so you can fully maximize it.

Nokia Smart Cam
Next we have the Nokia Smart Cam. The app will take a burst of shots and afterwards there are several smart effects you can pick from. You can stitch together the photos and come up with cool action shots like the ones we posted below.
What’s cool about the Action Shot is that you can control the fade effect and how many frames you put in. Definitely makes action shots much more fun to do! Other than Action Shot there’s Motion Blur, Best Photo, and a bunch of other smart cam features.
Nokia Lumia 920 now offers much more value
For a phone that retails for less than Php20,000, the Nokia Lumia 920 delivers a unique and refreshing user interface, LTE connectivity (crazy fast mobile Internet), a fantastic camera that can take superb low light pictures, and now further camera controls and modes with the Amber update. It was also announced recently that Game Loft will be porting all of their games to the Windows Phone ecosystem. All of that makes the case for Windows Phones, especially the ones from Nokia, more compelling.
