Android 11 Beta 1 Reveals New Features and UI Customization Options

New icon shape options and a music player on the quick control panel, among the few

While Google pushed back the release of Android 11 Beta 1, a number of Pixel owners were fortunate to receive it, revealing some interesting new features. One of the new features is a native music player on the quick control panel, which can be enabled under the Developer options menu. Since this is a beta build, there’s a chance that the option will be found at the main settings menu.

The native music player previewed in this screenshots is playing music through YouTube Music, though expect other music apps like Spotify to be compatible with the quick control panel widget.

In addition, the beta build also previewed new icon shape options for the home screen. These include pebble, tapered rectangle, and vessel.

Other rumored features of Android 11 include Wi-Fi enhanced MAC randomization, scrolling screenshots, clock customization, floating chat bubbles, and the ability to copy and paste images directly to replies.
