ASUS has upped the stakes in the hybrid PC game by announcing their new Transformeer 3 Pro today. While hybrid PCs have been around for quite some time now, they never had the power to deliver rich multimedia experiences that traditional gaming notebooks and even desktops were capable of, until now.

The new Transformer 3 Pro has a metal body and the ability to take a keyboard, but its tricks don’t stop there. It has Harmon/Kardon audio tech on board, as well as the ability to be decked out with serious hardware: Intel Core i7 processor, 16GB of RAM, 1TB of SSD storage and Thunderbolt 3 port.

The addition of the Thunderbolt 3 port allows the device to take an external GPU for better gaming performance.
