ASUS has its own DTV-equipped smartphone
While phones with digital TV features have been a staple of local brands, it’s a feature that hasn’t been utilized by international brands before. Until now anyway – Taiwanese manufacturer ASUS has officially announced their new Zenfone Go TV that has, you guessed it, a digital TV tuner.

The Zenfone Go TV uses a Sony IC SMT-EW100 Digital TV Tuner inside its body which allows it to pick up digital TV signals when they’re in range. Aside from the DTV feature, the Zenfone Go TV sports a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor under the hood, as well as 2GB of RAM, either 16GB or 32GB of storage, a 5.5-inch HD display and LTE capability. The Zenfone GO TV has been announced in ASUS’ home country of Taiwan – no word yet on local availability.
