ASUS has its own DTV-equipped smartphone

While phones with digital TV features have been a staple of local brands, it’s a feature that hasn’t been utilized by international brands before. Until now anyway – Taiwanese manufacturer ASUS has officially announced their new Zenfone Go TV that has, you guessed it, a digital TV tuner.

Zenfone Go TV 1

The Zenfone Go TV uses a Sony IC SMT-EW100 Digital TV Tuner inside its body which allows it to pick up digital TV signals when they’re in range. Aside from the DTV feature, the Zenfone Go TV sports a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor under the hood, as well as 2GB of RAM, either 16GB or 32GB of storage, a 5.5-inch HD display and LTE capability. The Zenfone GO TV has been announced in ASUS’ home country of Taiwan – no word yet on local availability.

  1. Snapdragon 400? Correct me if wrong, but isn’t that… old? Like somewhere around 2013-2014? Is it 64-bit capable?

    1. Snapdragon 400 is a 1.7Ghz dual-core (4x Qualcomm Krait 300) processor. Developed mainly for wearable devices. Some smartphones and tablets also use this processor.
