ASUS ROG Strix 1080

A graphics card fit for a king

ASUS has officially released its monstrous take on NVIDIA’s GTX 1080 in the PH yesterday. Dubbed the ROG STRIX GTX 1080, the new card is built on top of NVIDIA’s newest high end GPU and has features baked in that’s not found on the reference card.

For one thing, the Strix GPU sports ASUS’ DirectCU III tech that allows the card to be 30% cooler and 3x quieter than reference cards – vital when you’re gaming in max settings. Speaking of max settings, the new card has a slightly better edge than reference cards, giving users at least 5.7% more FPS in games like Ashes of the Singularity and 7.4% more FPS on Hitman on the highest settings.

All of that performance isn’t going to come cheap though – the ROG STRIX 1080 is slated to retail for Php 42,290.
