ASUS ZenFone Max Plus M1 Battery Benchmark Result

Check out how ASUS’ new ZenFone Max Plus M1 fared in our battery benchmark

ASUS will be releasing their first ever 18:9 smartphone, the ZenFone Max Plus M1, next week. We’ve already given you our unboxing of the device yesterday, but since one of the biggest features of the phone is its claim of being a battery king, we decided to put it through PCMark’s Battery Benchmark test that we subject all of our review devices to.

  • 4GB RAM
  • 5.7-inch 18:9 full HD+ IPS Display, 2.5D curved glass, 2160 x 1080 resolution

PCMark battery benchmark is one of the tests we subject phones to when determining its battery endurance. While it should not be taken as gospel since it’s a synthetic test, it gives a numerical value to a phone’s overall battery endurance without the human element thrown in that can be used to compare other phones with.

That being said, the ZenFone Max Plus M1 scored 8 hours and 27 minutes on a single charge. That’s with the brightness set to medium, as is standard in this test.

While that result isn’t too bad since it guarantees at least a day’s worth of useful battery life, we were expecting a bit more because of the phone’s lineage.

We’ll have to find out if ASUS’ battery optimizations kick in during regular use. We’ll give you our feedback once we finish our full review of the device.
