Behold: KFC Outs Its Own Smartphone

No, it doesn’t come with unlimited gravy

We’ve seen food and beverage brands partner up with phone manufacturers before, but we will never get tired of seeing the amusing results of said partnerships. The latest mish-mash of tech and food is KFC’s limited edition smartphone, built to commemorate their 30 years of operating in China.

The phone is basically a Huawei Enjoy 7 Plus with a very distinctive red coloration along with the good ol’ Colonel Sanders embossed in the back. The features aren’t exactly what you’d call impressive: 5.5-inch display, Snapdragon 425 processor, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable storage, along with a 3020mAh battery and a fingerprint scanner.

The phone comes with a KFC-branded music app which allows you to share your playlist at a KFC restaurant. The announcement also comes with its own video ad that’s uh, quite unique, if we do say so ourselves. Only 5000 phones will be sold.

If you’re in China as you’re reading this, you can buy this particular phone for RMB 1,099, or around 8.1K pesos.
