LTE-powered BlackBerry Q5 To Hit Stores on August 24

The BlackBerry Q5 officially will become available in the Philippines starting August 24 with an SRP of Php18,690. It’s a more youthful and affordable version of the BlackBerry Q10 (which means it has a QWERTY keypad). The specs are quite respectable but unfortunately this isn’t the LTE variant. You can still go up to HSPA+ though.

If you really want to get one you might want to drop by the BlackBerry Mall Caravan in Glorietta 1 (Ground Floor) on August 24-25. You can actually swap in your old smartphone and get up to 2,000 discount for the Q5, Q10, or Z10. The same promo will also be available in BlackBerry stores in SM Mega Mall, SM North EDSA, SM Sta. Rosa, and SM Pampanga.
