Hype!

Yesterday the newly separate smartphone division Flash officially announced the Flas Plus 2. After perusing the specs of the phone, many of you are probably now asking when the phone will hit our shores. Well, you’re in luck – Flash has extended an invite for the official Philippine launch to Unbox, pegging May 24 as D-day.

The Flash Plus 2, announced yesterday, sports a full metal body, a fingerprint scanner and comes with MediaTek’s Helio P10 octa-core processor, along with an f/2.0 rear camera with PDAF. Right now we don’t have a local price as of yet, but you can expect the device to retail for around 7.5K when it arrives here if the price remains unchanged from the international SRP.

  1. “…officially announced the FLASH Plus 2…”
Anyway, thats a bit immaterial. I really wanted to own a Flash before but unfortunately can’t buy one anywhere. I agree with Pacman. Hope this will not be a Lazada exclusive.

    1. True. I was among those who had been anticipating Alcatel’s Flash Plus release late in 2014 until its release some months later. Hanggang sa marelease ang Flash 2, na-pattern ng move ng Alcatel na gawin munang exclusive sa Lazada yung flagship unit nila bago irelease sa mga retailers at a higher SRP.

  2. From experience, mas magandang bumili ng flagship Alcatel (now just Flash brand) units habang nasa Lazada pa for three reasons: una, mas cheap kumpara sa magiging retailer price ang unit; pangalawa, may potential na mas mababa pang mabili sa actual price na naka-set sa Lazada dahil sa discount vouchers e.g. may instance na nagbigay ng P500 discount si Lazada exclusive sa mobile devices including the back then Flash Plus; at pangatlo, may chance na may kasamang freebies pag sa Lazada bibilhin.

Ang trade-off lang, posibleng may iilang unit na defective at kailangan pang ibalik for replacement na ang proseso alone ay di mas aaga pa sa 2 weeks.
