Galaxy A5 (2017) and A7 (2017) to Gain New Features Via Latest Software Update

New camera tricks for the previous generation Galaxy A models

While the buzz is with the Galaxy A8 and A8+, Samsung made sure that the Galaxy A5 (2017) and A7 (2017) remain relevant, thanks to a new software update.

Aside from coming with a December security patch (or November security patch depending where you live), both the Galaxy A5 (2017) and A7 (2017) will receive new features for its cameras. For the front camera, there’s a new function called Selfie Focus, which basically allows users to take a picture without having to tap the screen to focus, giving it a bokeh effect to your selfies. In addition, there’s a color correction option for skin tones (accessible via the beauty effects icon), along with an updated image processing algorithm

As for the rear camera, the update gives AR stickers and stamps to both the Galaxy A5 (2017) and A7 (2017)
