Google Nexus 4 SRP for the PH

We were doing some late Christmas shopping earlier at SM North Edsa when we saw a poster of the Google Nexus 4 at the LG concept store at SM North Edsa Annex. I was surprised when I found out how much they would be selling it. According to the cashier the Google Nexus 4 (16GB model) will retail locally for Php24,990. That’s waaaaaay above the $350 SRP in the US. $350 converted is just around Php14,350. This means that it will be 70% more expensive to buy the Nexus 4 here in the Philippines compared to the US. That’s just… crazy.

Anyway, here’s a video of our hands-on with the Google Nexus 4 for your viewing pleasure.

If you’re not to keen on buying this for Php24,990, you can get it from Smart. They’re offering the Google Nexus 4 at zero cash out for their Unlimited Data Plan 1500. The only catch is that the lock-in period is 30 months. If you want it at just 24 months lock-in you will have to shell out Php8,000. Click here for more details.

Btw, cashier at the LG Concept Store said that the Nexus 4 will be available on their shelves mid-January.

PS: I’m hoping that the cashier at the concept store had wrong information. If anyone from LG Philippines reads this please do contact us with the correct price and we will edit the article.
