The MX100 Sound Station and GLA-55 were a bit expensive and we’ve received a couple of e-mails asking to review Harman Kardon products under Php10,000. Our good friends from the local distributor were kind enough to lend us the Harman Kardon SoundSticks II and we’ll be doing an extensive review later next week (GLA-55 to come Monday). For now let’s just take a quick look at what makes the sound sticks special.
When Harman Kardon ships products they really make it a point to deliver well designed speakers with outstanding sound quality. Personally I think the Harman Kardon SoundSticks II is 99.9% perfect already (I’ll discuss the missing 0.1% in the full review). It’s reasonably priced, has impeccable design, and it delivers powerful, clear, and crisp audio. The speaker set has 2 transparent 10-watt speakers with four 1-inch drivers. The sticks rest on metal bases and you can easily adjust the angle. It also has a 20-watt subwoofer (also transparent) that has a soft blue light when it’s turned on.
The Harman Kardon SoundSticks II retails for just Php6,995. Watch out for our full review next week!
