It’s better than the original
Xiaomi is expected to launch their original bezel-less smartphone, the Mi Mix 2 a few days from now and while we’ve seen leaks of the front panel before, we haven’t seen the display in action yet. That changes with today’s leak via ever dependable Weibo, where two images of the phone’s display shows you the extent of the Mi Mix 2’s display.
As you can see, the phone has a really thin lower bezel (which houses the selfie camera) and virtually no side and top bezel. The sides are curved, much like Samsung’s flagship offerings, which means that the phone will have an insane screen to body ratio. Will it break the mythical 90% screen-to-body ratio? We’ll have to wait to find out.
Other expected specs for the Mi Mix 2 include Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 processor, 6GB of RAM, 256GB of storage plus a large 4,500mAh battery. We’re not sure yet if the display sports a QHD panel or regular full HD one – we’ll have to find out once it launches a day before the iPhone 8 on Sept. 11.
