Meet the pricey HP Envy Spectre

HP Spectre revealed at CES 2012

After the teaser video last week a lot of people were wondering what the HP Spectre is. Some techies actually thought that it was a gaming Ultrabook that will go head to head with Dell’s Alienware brand. Well HP finally showcased the product to the world at CES 2012 and it’s actually billed as a “premium Ultrabook”.

What’s so special about it? Let’s start with the specs. It has a 14″ 1600x 900 Radiance Display, Core i5 CPU, 4GB RAM, NFC, Beats, backlit keyboard, carrying case, and it also ships with full copies of Adobe Photoshop and Premiere Elements (yay). In terms of hardware design the Spectre has Gorilla glass at the top cover which is supposed to make it last longer.

This baby is priced at a premium. It will sell for $1,400 USD or roughly Php62,000. The HP Spectre will hit stores in February for the US. Expect it in the Philippines late Q1 or early Q2.
