It’s one point below Google’s Pixel 2
We were impressed by the performance of the dual Leica-branded rear cameras of the Huawei Mate 10 Pro, so we were absolutely not surprised to learn that the new flagship earned high marks in DXoMark. Specifically, the Mate 10 Pro scored 97 points in the imaging benchmark site, which is one point below Google’s recently released Pixel 2.Â
As expected DXoMark handed the Mate 10 Pro 100 points for its performance in taking photos, and 91 points for video. The Mate 10 Pro’s excellent performance with dynamic range, detail retention at 2x zoom and low noise levels managed to impress the folks behind the imaging benchmark site, and the consensus over there is that the Mate 10 Pro’s wide aperture mode is a little better compared to the iPhone 8 Plus’ portrait mode.
