Huawei MatePad Appears in a Listing

MediaPad no more?

Following the global and local launch of the MatePad Pro, it looks like Huawei will be killing the MediaPad branding across its whole tablet line. Aside from rumors of an entry-level MatePad T, JD.com recently posted a listing for the vanilla MatePad.

From the renders shown in the listing, the vanilla Matepad will have thicker bezels and an 8-megapixel camera placed on the top bezel. Because of the bezels, the MatePad has a slightly smaller 10.4-inch display. The MatePad’s rear panel is similar to the Pro model, with a camera module housing a single camera (8-megapixels instead of 13 megapixels) and an LED flash. Like its Pro sibling, it will have Harman Kardon-tuned speakers and a USB-C port.

Rumored specs of the MatePad include a Kirin 810 processor, 6GB RAM, 128GB internal storage, LTE connectivity, 7250mAh battery, and support for M-Pencil
