The new phone has just been outed ahead of schedule
We’re two weeks away from the official announcement of Huawei’s new P20 series of smartphones, but an Italian blog has managed to get their hands on what looks to be a retail version of the P20 Lite. How the Italian blog managed to get one is beyond us considering the official launch is two weeks away, but they’ve gone ahead and unboxed the phone in their YouTube channel for everyone to see.
As expected, the P20 Lite sports the same notch that’s quickly becoming prevalent on Android phones nowadays, and has a 5.84-inch FHD+ resolution of 2,280 x 1,080, along with 2.5D curved glass. There’s 4GB of RAM on tap complemented by 64GB of storage, and the dual rear camera is composed of a 16-megapixel shooter with a 2-megapixel secondary camera. The front camera is a 16-megapixel deal.
Moving right along the specs, the phone has a USB Type-C port, GPS, 3,000mAh plus Android 8 Oreo and EMUI 8. Since the phone is the “lite” version of the flagship it has a lot of the same design DNA of the P20 and P20 Pro, at least according to the leaks we’ve been seeing but we’ll have to see on the 27th if its two more expensive brothers look just like it.
