New VR kits!

I Am Cardboard Philippines have officially unveiled their new v2 virtual reality headsets today during an event at Digital Walker’s premiere store in the Eastwood Mall. The new kit boasts several improvements over the previous model, which include clearer lenses compared to the competition, a newer, simpler, magnet-less design and universal compatibility with all phones with displays up to 6-inches in size.

I Am Cardboard is probably one of the few products in the market that is certified by Google themselves. There’s also a QR code on the new v2 kit that automatically calibrates the 3D image that you’ll see on your phone to its display size, so all you have to do is scan it and you’ll get a perfect VR experience every time. They’ve also gotten rid of the magnet that was on the original version – it’s been replaced by a capacitive button that allows the new kits to be used with iOS devices as well. The new v2 kits are available exclusively at DigitalWalker, and are priced at just Php 900.

You’ll need to download the Cardboard app for it if you decide to use it, which is available for both iOS and Android. You can also use the new Cardboard Camera app made especially for the app that allows you to take 360-degree panoramic photos and share it via the Android Cardboard application.
