Has Cherry’s next flagship leaked?
Cherry’s unveiling a new flagship tomorrow, but that doesn’t mean that there’s no time for leaks. A reader sent us a couple of images showing a new smartphone that fits the teased specs in Cherry Mobile’s Facebook announcement.
The new device, dubbed the Cosmos One Plus carries a 5.5-inch LTPS IPS full HD display, an unknown 2GHz octa-core processor, 32GB of storage plus expansion up to 64GB and 3GB of RAM. From what we’re seeing the new smartphone also has dual SIM and dual LTE capabilities, which makes it only the second locally branded smartphone to be able to do so. Imaging-wise, you’re looking at a 14-megapixel Sony camera with an IMX214 sensor and an f/2.0 lens.
Of course, all of these specs are unconfirmed right now, and while it’s highly unlikely it might be an elaborate ruse (read: hoax). Anybody with enough photoshop experience can fake these photos, so we’re tagging this as rumors at this point. But if the specs are actually true, then Cherry Mobile is really comitted to making a really high-end flagship smartphone – let’s hope it’s still competitively priced when it becomes official.
Thanks to everyone that sent this in!
Ito na ang Pangtapat sa starmobile knight.
Wait nalang ako sa zenfone 2 ng asus.
Zopo ZP999
Looks like. Pasok sa specs ng Zopo ZP999. If this would be the case, naunahan na ng CM ang Novo sa pag-release nito.
Na-release po ba ng Novo yung ZP999? Alam ko na-release nila ZP998 pero hindi ako sigurado sa ZP999.
http://www.zopomobileshop.com/en/305-zopo-zp999-mt6595m-smartphone.html Looks like a rebadged Zopo ZP999 to me too.
The problem is, the ZP999 is running on the same MT6595M as the SM Knight X, which means it is NOT a 64-bit capable chip because of the A17 and A7 cores.
“… an unknown 2GHz octa-core processor, 32GB of storage plus expansion up to 64GB and 3GB of RAM. From what we’re seeing the new smartphone also has dual SIM and dual LTE capabilities…”
Based from this article, the “64” might be referring to the expansion capability of the device. Maybe not a 64bit device?
this year siguro ung year ng mga LTE SMARTPHONES.. ^_^
if it uses same octa core chip from ZP999, then its not a 64 bit chip but if it uses either MT6752 or MT6795, then its better than SM Knight X.
Perhaps it will be using MT6752 like Meizu M1 Note for it offers midrange specs kasi kung MT6795 ang gagamitin niyan, takti, beast mode na ang Cherry Mobile! Accompanied pa ng affordable prize! Well if my speculation is right sana nga MT6795 ang gamitin hahahaha

*fan peste na autocorrect lol!
so disappointed hahahaha…… just gonna wait for Asus Zenfone 2. Hahaha
Plus dat Intel Chip can’t run some apps correctly.
Heto na naman tayo sa INTEL BS na yan.
We choose the ones which give better value for our money. “Used” 1-2year old FOREIGN flagships are way way better than what CM can ever spew out monthly. Bwahahahahahaha.
this phone would definitely be the flagship device of CM , since the specs speaks for itself one thing i’m not satisfied with is the battery capacity its just 2700mah vs the knight x which is 3000mah+ i think ? (not sure) but this phone would be a good device if the price would be right
one thing i need to say about 64-bit SOC’s is we can’t really say that this type of SOC’s are better than the old SOC’s out there since we can’t really see the full efficiency of a 64-bit SOC’s or GPU’s there are some requirement that we need for us to see the full potential of the 64-bit generation
I am not a hater// basher of cherry mobile Products – In fact, I’ve been using their product for 3 years – I had an Omega HD 2.0. and I’ve purchased 2 other phones for my brother and sister,
I recommended it as well to my GF and she purchased an Apollo.. I’m always depending Pinoy Phone companies from Bashers.. But I would just like to share what happened recently…
I decided to purchase a tablet for my GF as a gift.. so I purchased the CM Navigator.. I did an extensive review on the device(taragis, technobaboy etc..) and it seems like a really good deal..
But after just 4 days of buying it.. the auto rotate function isn’t working anymore, the touch screen started acting out and the ( VC) voice calling video (front cam) is not showing on the
Tablet. Its still under the 7 days replacement warranty so we brought it back to the store where we purchased it on the last day of the warranty and I swear the tablet is in brand new state
( no scratches or bumps.. Hell, its just 7 days old !!! ) what happened is that there are 2 attendants there.. 1st attendant checked the tablet and did the factory reset ( 2x).. after checking it, she
said that it is definitely for replacement.. she then asked her colleague to check it so 2nd attendant looked at the tablet as well.. she removed the sim and the micro sd out.. I did not know what
happened but after the 2nd attendant checked the tablet.. she suddenly said that the camera lens cap is missing.. the 1st attendant then said that they can’t replace it anymore since there is a
missing part!!! The weird part is they didn’t even bother to look for it and they don’t really seemed surprise!!! I mean, is it that easy for their devices to lose the lens cap?!!! They said that I
should just bring the device on the service center (after just 7 days!!!) !!!After having a long discussion and debate w/ them.. My GF just gave up and decided to bring the tablet to the service
center.. you know what happened?.. She was advised to leave the tablet and provided and turnaround time of 2 WEEKS to 1 MONTH!!! And for the lens cap.. 2 WEEKS as well!!! WTF!!!
Everything that happened is so frustrating… So, for you guys who might encounter the same issue.. a piece of advise.. when you bring your gadget for a repalcement to a CHERRY MOBILE
STORE.. don’t let it out of your sight!!! Have them inspect the gadget in front of you!! Or take a pict of the device before you have them check it.. I really believe that we were conned..
But it’s their KARMA not ours.. Just giving you guys some heads up.. this could really be a new SCAM… I would really like to hear from you guys.. whats your take on this?..
It’s not the fault of the company if the attendant is the one who loses the lens cap you can’t blame the whole company for the mistake of the attendant they hired , you can blame the attendant but not the whole company go report the attendant to their supervisor or manager with proof to fix you issue..
