Claims to be a groundbreaking processor

Fresh from the unveiling of the Helio P70 and the first phone to use the processor, MediaTek teased on their Twitter page that they are working on the Helio P90 mid-range processor.

While details are scarce, MediaTek hints at the Helio P90’s AI capabilities, along with being powerful and efficient. MediaTek’s upcoming Helio P80 processor scored well in an AI benchmark test, only to be beaten by Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8150. OPPO’s upcoming R19 is rumored to use the Helio P80.

The Helio P90 is slated to be announced on December 13, several days after Qualcomm’s December 4 event in Hawaii.
