Here’s Microsoft’s newest tablet
Microsoft has officially taken the wraps off of the Surface Pro 4, their newest hybrid tablet aimed at competing with Apple’s iPad Pro. The tablet sports a 12.3-inch, 2160 x 1440 resolution display. The company managed to squeeze in a thin layer of Gorilla Glass 4 under there (0.4mm) and a 1.1mm backlight unit along with a special Touch Chipset for the included stylus.
Internally, the Surface Pro 4 sports Intel’s latest Core M processors, which makes it faster than the Surface Pro 3, and according to Microsoft, 50% faster than the MacBook Air. The tablet will also come with a keyboard cover dubbed the Type Cover, which has a better keyboard travel at 1.3mm. Microsoft is also throwing in a new dock that gives users four USB 3.0 ports, two 4K DisplayPorts and Ethernet.
The new Surface Pro 4 will be priced at $899 (Php 41.6K) and will start shipping on October 26th.
