Microsoft unveiled its first ever desktop all-in-one today, and oh boy do we want it. Dubbed the Surface Studio, the new AIO’s design is like nothing we’ve ever seen before.
For one thing it has a unique hinge on the back that makes it perfect for people with plenty of creativity, as it can be re-positioned depending on your needs.
But the new AIO really shines when paired with the Surface Pen, basically a stylus and the Surface Dial. The Surface Dial’s function changes depending on what program you’re using it with. It can give designers and illustrators instant access to the color pallete when they’re working, for example, speeding up the creative process.
The display itself is a 28-inch, 4,500 x 3,000 resolution touchscreen panel that gives creators the best possible surface to work. That tiny base holds all of the computing bits, which include an Intel Core processor, 2TB hybrid hard drive an a discrete NVIDIA GPU. There’s also 32GB of RAM on tap.
Obviously such a marvel of engineering isn’t going to come cheap – the Surface Studio starts at $2,999, or around Php 145K. Because of its prohibitive price it’s being marketed to professionals and creatives, but if you got the dough, you might just want to get one for your home. We know we would.
