When will this phone hit the market?

More photos of OPPO’s R7 has hit the internet today, showing off its virtually zero bezels to the world. While there’s little doubt that the R7 is a real product (why else would their local PR arm send us link about this story to write about) it’s still not clear when the R7 will hit the market.

Nor is it clear what kind of hardware the R7 will come with. The R7 is supposedly a phone that will be as thin as the R5 at just 4.85mm thin, and will be powered by a MediaTek MT6795 64-bit procssor, along with a 20.7-megapixel rear camera. If this is true, it’s kind of surprising that OPPO would go with a MediaTek SoC over a Qualcomm one, especially since a phone as thin as the R7 would run into the same heating issues that plagued the R5.
