A few days ago Motorola launched three new handsets. Leading the pack was their newest flagship, the Motorola Droid RAZR HD. This new smartphone packed a bigger and better display, great battery life, LTE compatibility, and gorgeous hardware design. Much like the first RAZR, this one has a unique Kevlar-quoted back. The display is also close to almost taking all the space from edge-to-edge. It has one of the thinnest bezels I’ve seen for a smartphone. It also managed to maintain it’s ridiculously thin form factor (8.4mm).

Here are the official specs:

Motorola Droid RAZR HD Spec Sheet

  • 1.5GHz Dual-core Processor
  • 1GB RAM
  • 16GB Internal Storage, Expandable via MicroSD Card
  • 4.7-inch Super AMOLED HD Display (720p)
  • 2,500mAH Battery
  • 8-megapixel Camera (Flash, Auto Focus, etc.)
  • Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (Upgradeable to Jelly Bean)
  • LTE Radio

I was a bit puzzled though why this was still packing Android 4.0 Ice Scream Sandwich especially since they’re owned by Google already.

Here’s the official promotional video.

Other than the RAZR HD, Motorola also announced the Droid RAZR Maxx HD which is basically the same handset save for the bigger back and the 3,300mAh battery, and the budget-friendly Droid RAZR M.

No word yet on when we will see this in the Philippines.
