Motorola Reveals Revised Camera App UI

Motorola Reveals Revised Camera App UI

Ahead of the Moto G6 Family launch

In anticipation of the Moto G6 Family launch, which is rumored to be on April 19 based on an invite, Motorola revamped its camera UI app as well. Screenshots of the new UI was spotted on the web, and there are a few notable changes:

One of the major changes include a revamped menu: This time, users will need to swipe to change camera modes. Swiping to the right gives you access to video recording, while swiping to the left gives you several photo/video modes.

Other camera controls like HDR, flash, and timer have been moved to the top of the viewfinder for easy accessibility. Aside from these UI tweaks, Motorola notes that bugs are addressed in this update as well—which we hope they were able to address the shutter lag problem too.

As of this writing, the new Camera App UI will be made available to the Moto Z and Moto X4 (Android One), and we expect Motorola to roll out this update to its other phones in the coming months.
