OnePlus Is Making A TV, And It’s Coming Next Month

It’ll launch in India first

OnePlus, the company known for making affordable smartphone killers is making a TV. Company founder Pete Lau officially announced his intentions to launch the TV in OnePlus’ official forums, detailing the company’s launch plans for the device.

The TV will be debuting next month and will be exclusively available in India first, thanks to the company’s success in the sub-continent.

After that, Lau says they’ll also be launching the TV in North America, Europe, and China regions, as soon as they establish partnerships with most local and regional content providers.

So what can you expect from OnePlus’ new TV? Well, it’ll be a smart TV of course, though Lau also says that he believes the TV’s “remarkable design and smart interconnectivity make this product even more exciting.”

We’re hoping for a solid price strategy since the Smart TV market isn’t hurting for bang-for-the-buck options – Xiaomi already makes and sells excellently priced smart screens that are hard to beat when it comes to value.

  1. Yeah they’ll be facing competitors who have been lording it over the smart tv business for a while now (Xiaomi) Honor by huawei is also making tv’s, same battle they’ll be having.

Unless they can offer something better at a price point that’s bang for the buck.
