To have a dedicated camera for macro photography?
As we wait for the official unveiling of the Honor 20 family on May 21, leaked promo materials reveal details about the Honor 20 Pro’s quad-rear camera setup.
According to the promo materials, the quad-rear camera setup will consist of a 16-megapixel f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle camera, 48-megapixel f/1.4 Sony IMX 586 main camera with OIS, 8-megapixel f/2.4 telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and OIS, and a dedicated 2-megapixel f/2.4 macro lens.
The periscope-looking module below the telephoto camera is a laser autofocus module. The dedicated macro camera is intriguing, as it has 1.75um pixels—bigger than the 1.6um pixels on the 48-megapixel main camera with Light Fusion enabled.
Aside from the unusual macro camera, the Honor 20 Pro’s 48-megapixel camera has an extra bright f/1.4 aperture, which should make the flagship phone excel in low-light photography.
