Realme is expanding into IoT Products
Realme is on a streak of product launches around the world. After unveiling the X50 Pro Player Edition in China, the former OPPO sub-brand launched the Realme Watch and Realme TV in India, marking its further expansion into IoT products.
The Realme Watch is the brand’s first smartwatch and its second wearable after the Realme Band. Its debut smartwatch has a 1.4-inch display with a 320×320 resolution and Gorilla Glass 3 protection. You can choose between 12 different watch faces through the Realme Link App, with plans for as much as 100 different watch faces in future updates. As a smartwatch, you get 24/7 heart rate monitoring, a SPo2 sensor, and 14 sport modes. In addition, it comes with a remote camera shutter and music player controls when paired with a smartphone.
The Realme Watch has an IP68 rating and a 168mAh battery that can power it for up to 7 days with 24/7 heart rate monitoring. Strap options include black, red, olive green, and dark blue.
The Realme TV, on the other hand, is the brand’s first smart TV. Available in 32-inch and 43-inch, the Realme TV is an Android TV with a bezel-less display, custom MediaTek quad-core CPU, 1GB RAM, and 8GB internal storage. Both versions have two sets of speakers: a full-range speaker and a tweeter. Both combine for a total output of 24w and has support for Dolby Audio. A 100w soundbar can be purchased separately. Aside from having support for Google Assistant, the Realme TV has Chromecast built-in.
Connectivity options include Bluetooth 5.0, 2.4Ghz WiFi, three HDMI ports, two USB ports, one LAN port, and one cable port.
The Realme Watch is priced at INR 3,999(~Php 2.7k) and will go on sale on June 5, with the fashion straps sold separately for INR 499(~Php 400). The Realme TV is priced at INR 12,999(~Php 8.7k) for the 33-inch model and INR 21,999(~Php 14.8k) for the 43-inch model. Both TV models will be available on June 2.
