It looks much closer to the Redmi Note 7
While Xiaomi has been teasing about the Redmi Note 8 Pro lately, the brand is finally giving some spotlight to its non-Pro sibling.
Unlike the Redmi Note 8 Pro, the vanilla Redmi Note 8 is sticking to the design of the Redmi Note 7, only updating it with a quad rear camera setup and dual-LED flash. The 48-megapixel main camera remains, though it is accompanied by an ultra-wide-angle camera and dedicated macro camera this time around.
For the internals, Xiaomi confirmed that the Redmi Note 8 will use a Snapdragon 665 processor. On paper, the said processor should be better than the Snapdragon 660 processor used on the Redmi Note 7 because of its 11nm process.
We should know more about the Redmi Note 8 series come August 29.
